Statement

Creating and making are what Frances has done since she was a little girl. Working with glass has given her the greatest pleasure and also the occasional headache. She enjoys working to a brief and the satisfaction of knowing that it has been fulfilled and given pleasure to the owner makes it all worthwhile.

Frances would like her work to intrigue and where possible amuse and occasionally subvert. The majority of her work focuses on subjects abstracted from the human figure or nature. Sometimes the glass itself is her inspiration.

She has a particular interest in architectural glass and public art projects. She is also interested in designing and making three dimensional works which are decorative and or functional.
